WVU Global Partnerships

West Virginia University's Office of Global Affairs (OGA) develops and oversees formal international partnerships in support of WVU's strategic global priorities. OGA maintains a comprehensive database of partnership history and contact information and coordinates regularly with partners to renew or establish agreements as needed. 

International partnerships take a variety of forms, each defining the expectations and responsibilities of both parties to support mutually beneficial collaboration. Partnerships may focus on faculty-led research, academic collaboration, student exchanges, or articulated pathways for admission to WVU. 

Throughout its history, WVU has partnered with more than 400 institutions across 90 countries. WVU currently maintains more than 125 partnerships across 51 countries. Approximately two-thirds of these partnerships are concentrated in Asia (35%) and Europe (30%). Around 43% of agreements are faculty- or research-driven, while 34% support education abroad or student mobility.
