Passport Acceptance Facility

West Virginia University maintains a passport acceptance facility on the Downtown Campus located in Purinton House (1505 University Ave.). The accessible facility is open to WVU students, faculty, and staff, as well as the general public for passport application services and passport photo services.

Hours of Operation

Monday - Friday

8:30 AM - 4:00 PM | Appointments Only

*Please make one appointment PER PERSON submitting a passport application

Evening hours from 4:00 - 7:00 PM available Wednesday, September 13, October 11, November 8, and December 13.

Saturday hours are from 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Saturday, September 30, October 28, November 25, and December 30.

Execution/Photo Fee Payment *Passport costs must be paid via check (personal, certified, cashier's, traveler's) or money order payable to "U.S. Department of State"

**WVU only accepts payment through Credit/Debit cards for the $35 Execution Fee and passport photo charges. Payments must be made using the above link prior, or during the time of service.
